This page explains what information Peakside Strategic collects from visitors to peaksidestrategic.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it plain so you can actually read it.
Who we are
Peakside Strategic is a marketing firm in Colorado Springs, Colorado, that works with local service businesses. The best way to reach us is through Quinn on our contact page or by emailing hello@peaksidestrategic.com.
How you can reach us, and what happens when you do
Our contact page does not use a traditional form. Instead, you can talk to or type to Quinn, our AI assistant. Quinn is a real piece of software we built for our own use and also offer to clients, so when you talk to her you are seeing our product in action.
When you start a conversation with Quinn:
- Whatever you type or say is sent to our AI provider, BotDisplay (botdisplay.com), which runs the assistant on our behalf.
- If you choose to book a call or leave your details, the name, email, and any context you share are sent to us at Peakside.
- BotDisplay keeps a transcript of the conversation so we can review it, improve Quinn’s answers, and follow up if you asked us to. We can request that transcripts be deleted at any time.
- If you do not give Quinn your name and contact information, the conversation stays anonymous on our side.
If you would prefer not to talk to an AI, email hello@peaksidestrategic.com and a person will reply.
Server logs and security
Like every website, this site keeps basic access logs for security and uptime. The logs include the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and the browser user-agent string. Our host, Cloudways (which runs on DigitalOcean), is where those logs live. They roll off on the host’s normal retention schedule, typically within a few months.
Cookies and tracking
We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social-media tracking widgets on this site. If you start a chat with Quinn, BotDisplay may set a session cookie to remember your conversation within that chat. WordPress sets a small set of session cookies for our team when we log in to administer the site; those do not apply to regular visitors. If we add analytics at a later date, we will note the tool here.
If you book a call
When you book a call through Quinn, we receive your name, email, and any context you shared. We use it to prepare for the call and to follow up about whether Peakside is the right fit for your business. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not pass your information to anyone outside Peakside.
Email and text follow-up
If we are already corresponding about your business, we may follow up by email or, if you gave us a phone number, by occasional text. You can ask us to stop any time by replying to the email or by writing to hello@peaksidestrategic.com.
Who else sees your data
To run the business, we use a small set of service providers. Each one only sees the data needed to do its job:
- BotDisplay hosts Quinn, the AI on our contact page. Conversation transcripts live there until we delete them.
- Google Workspace hosts our email. If you write to us, your message sits in our inbox like any normal email.
- Cloudways (on DigitalOcean) hosts the website itself and sees standard server logs as described above.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever. We do not share it with marketing partners, data brokers, or advertisers.
How long we keep it
- Quinn conversation transcripts: kept while they are useful for follow-up and tuning Quinn, then deleted on request or on a rolling 12-month basis, whichever comes first.
- Email threads: kept as long as you remain a client or active prospect, and for up to two years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Server access logs: the host’s normal retention, typically a few months.
Your rights
Whether you live in California, the European Union, or elsewhere, you can:
- Ask what personal information we have about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete it
- Ask us to stop using it for follow-up
Email hello@peaksidestrategic.com with what you want. We will respond within 30 days. If we cannot honor a request for a legal or contractual reason, we will tell you why.
Children
This site is for business owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this page, the effective date at the top will change. Material changes will be flagged here for at least 30 days. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new version.
